Single Review: Bat Flattery - Sweet Thomas
We'll be delving into the 6th single release from Bat Flattery, Sweet Thomas - a somewhat slower and less chaotic song, compared to heavier and more frantic releases such as Kalashnikov and Year of the Glutton.
With catchy lyrics and bassline Sweet Thomas by Bat Flattery perfectly captures what most of us feel about how life is in the current climate. This ‘politically charged’ track is so well thought out instrumentally I found myself listening to it on repeat.

Album Review: It’s Karma It’s Cool - One Million Suburban Sunsets
Lincoln’s alt-rockers It’s Karma It’s Cool popped out One Million Suburban Sunsets last October. As their fourth studio album, a slightly new direction in sound takes it to a noticeable more guitar-driven LP; immaculately produced (with credit, somewhat unsurprisingly, to Martyn Bewick at Playing Aloud Studios) and arranged and still staying true to their unique sound, whilst showing growth and progression as a band.

Album Review: PanthaDogg – Mind How You Go
Born in Surrey and raised in Lincoln, rapper, singer-songwriter and beatmaker PanthaDogg releases his first full-length album Mind How You Go through Kycker Music, recorded at Lincoln’s Playing Aloud Studios. Kind of The Streets meets Frank Turner with a fair dash

Gig Review: Red Giant December 4th 2025, Southside
The last place I expected to find myself on a rainy Thursday night in the middle of winter, in Lincoln was inside a church at a punk rock gig, but that’s precisely where I ended up. With Only Destiny, Head Cloud , and headliners Red Giant on the lineup, it was the kind of event that calls for black skinny jeans, battered Converse, and a commitment to headbanging so hard you know you’ll wake up with a headache the next morning. The night kicked off with Only Destiny , a fou

Album Review: Soaper - Bubbledumb
I daresay there’s a fair few people other than me who’ve been looking forward to the debut full-length album by Soaper for quite some time now. The Sleaford two-piece have been instrumental (pardon the pun) in the Lincoln and wider music scene for a number of years, either in this iteration or another – a few people not brand new to our scene may remember the pretty successful Bear Makes Ninja as being THAT band you hoped were playing on a night you could make it to a show, a
